Eclipse 1100 HR Elliptical (*** Out Of *****)
The company responsible for Tony Little Gazelle proudly created the Eclipse 1100 HR elliptical trainer. I usually do not embrace giving my perspective of inexpensive equipment. However, due to the “all the rage” appeal that continues to grow over the Eclipse 1100, I concluded that the pros and cons of this device should be evaluated.
The obvious advantage of the Eclipse 1100 HR elliptical trainer is the reasonable cost. Some individuals who desire to lose weight and stay fit are short of finances and are not able to buy a top quality exercise machine.
Spending so much money on a machine that will perhaps end up tucked away in the garage behind stacks of boxes is a financial risk no individual on a tight budget wants to make.
Thus, the Eclipse 1100’s affordable price makes it a prize candidate. While this machine has an appealing price value, there are some disadvantages to consider before buying this product. One con to regard is the Eclipse 1100’s 15″ stride, which is rather undersized based on manufacturing principles. Due to the size of the stride there is more restraint and bounce.

This feature will cause problems for tall people. Another disadvantage is the weight of the machine. Weighing at 90 pounds, the Eclipse 100 does not provide general steadiness, which can cause discomfort to those who are more over weight.
The instability of this machine can also be a problem if an individual wants to perform thorough workouts. While the compact size of the Eclipse 1100 may seem beneficial it can also be a downfall. The small size limits motion of the upper and lower body. One complaint from an owner of the Eclipse 1100 was that the upper handle bars were too short.
The Fitness Quest website states that the warranty for the Eclipse 1100 is limited to only one year. The lack of information on the warranty is signaling red flags when it comes to deciding whether this product is a smart purchase. A service warranty is not available unless you are willing to dish out some extra cash for one.
Bottom Line: A no-frills elliptical machine for those looking to save a buck.
