Because it’s fairly new, you won’t be able to find a used one on Amazon.com and it’s a bit pricey at $439.00. The Total Trainer allows you to target any muscle you can possibly think of.
What makes it such a great machine is that it can train many different muscles where similar machines only allow you to work out a certain group. Doing all of your strength training on one machine allows you to work much more fluidly.
The thing that most people like about the Pilates Body Gym Elite Total Trainer was the amount of resistance the machine supplied to their work out. It comes with so many cords that each allow up to 40% more resistance, which really comes in handy when people are trying to build their core muscles and stamina!
The second thing is that it doesn’t seem to really matter if you have any history with Pilates. The machine is very accessible.

The Pilates Body Gym Elite Total Trainer is a pilates machine that is still challenging at a physical level! It’s the kind of a machine that is very difficult to get bored with. There was plenty of variety of exercises to enjoy.
The instructions that come with the machine are really simple to understand. They show you how to change out the cords and teach you how to add resistance.
The only major negative thing about the Pilates Body Gym Elite Total Trainer is that it is fairly expensive. Many people don’t have nearly five hundred dollars sitting around for a Pilates machine.
Another slight negative thing about the Pilates Body Gym Elite Total Trainer is that it’s not very compact. It doesn’t fold up and slide under the bed like some of the other machines. Make sure you have a place where you’re comfortable having it when your friends and family come over.
Bottom Line: Pricey, but it is definitely worth the investment, especially if you plan on doing pilates, “full time”. It’s the kind of machine that can run for many years to come.
